Almost half of tech executives say their organizations aren’t ready for AI or other advanced initiatives

In 2023, businesses are increasingly focusing on transforming their IT processes to harness the power of AI and other emerging technologies. According to a survey, 81% of executives believe that well-performing IT processes are crucial in implementing successful AI initiatives, while 68% express concerns about suboptimal processes hindering AI implementation and other emerging technologies. Key factors driving process optimization include an interest in leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, cutting costs, and competitive pressures. The survey also highlights various essential IT processes like asset management, auditing, cybersecurity, and software development. However, the report notes that, on average, only 55% of IT processes are running optimally, with visibility and complexity identified as major challenges by IT leaders.
