OpenAI cures GPT-4 ‘laziness’ with new updates

OpenAI has raised the bar in the AI domain with the introduction of the GPT-4 Turbo, which boasts enhanced code generation capabilities, reducing “laziness” issues experienced with the previous model. In response to users’ frustrations with the lack of GPT-4 updates, OpenAI clarified that the recent update is specifically for the GPT-4 Turbo, which contains more current data and is only available in a preview.

Furthermore, OpenAI aims to roll out continued enhancements for GPT-4 Turbo in the upcoming months, with plans for the availability of GPT-4 Turbo with vision, enabling users to engage in multimodal prompts such as text-to-image generation. In addition, OpenAI has launched smaller AI models called embeddings, designed to aid applications leveraging retrieval-augmented generation in understanding the relationships between different content.
