The pocket-size Rabbit R1 gadget that is designed to perform tasks via apps has quickly sold out from its first batch, with 10,000 units sold in just one day after its launch. Despite initially aiming to sell 500 devices on launch day, the company exceeded expectations by 20 times, signaling strong consumer interest and demand. The R1 features a 2.88-inch touchscreen and operates on the Rabbit OS, utilizing a “Large Action Model” to function as a universal controller for various apps, enabling users to perform tasks such as playing music, making purchases, and sending messages through a single interface. Preorders for the R1 are still available on Rabbit’s website, with expected delivery between April and May 2024 for new orders and March for those who placed orders before the initial batch sold out.
